The Back Door!

A bit of a performance, but finally Himself managed to get all the stones out and a door shaped hole made in the back wall. It has been standing since 1844, so it was understandable that it would take some budging! Some huge rocks had been used in the building of it, two faces with rubble and clay in between them, with a combined width of more than two feet.

Now we have a hole, we can put a door in it, but there is a bit of work to do first! It will be worth it, yes it will . . . This is becoming something of a mantra at the moment!
