The Struggle

Got Lewis off to school on a slightly later bus....so annoying when buses come early!!....and Jed and Rowan to school on their bikes. It takes longer to wrestle the bikes out of the shed than it does to ride them to school.

Graham and I then had a lovely drive out through Cumbria. We picked a glorious day for it and it's made me feel fantastic today. We drove up to Pooley Bridge; Patterdale; Brother's Water; past Kirkstone Pass Inn and down the Struggle (which is where this photograph was taken, looking back towards the Struggle/Kirkstone Pass Inn); Ambleside; Newby Bridge; stopped at Stoole End to have our picnic which was nice in the sunshine, even a bit of a sunbathe today! and then we headed home over Wrynose Pass. Last year when we were camping in this area, Graham said he would take us over Wrynose Pass and, after some time, Rowan asked: "Where are the rhinos?" It took us about ten minutes to twig what he was on about!
