Photo Class Assignment

My daughter's assignment in her photo class is to take a self portrait. She envisioned a shot of herself reflected in her sunglasses on a beach at sunset with a pier in the background. Those elements all came together at Seal Beach this evening. Even though I hauled my tripod and fancy camera for her to use, she was much more comfortable using her Nikon point and shoot. She worked diligently to get the composition to her liking, even though she could not really see the image while she was composing it. I had the advantage of seeing what I was shooting while capturing her capturing herself.
