Dogwood Puddle Pics

Eastern Phoebe

This sparrow sized flycatcher has a distinctive mannerism of bobbing it's tail up and down that differentiates it from the Eastern Wood Pewee.

It likes to build nests under bridges and eaves as evidenced by this one building its nest under the roof of our front porch.

This little one sits on branches in the back yard until it sees an insect fly past, then off it flys to catch the insect in its beak. Next a brief stop on this bird feeder by the kitchen, then up to the nest to feed the babies.

The black cat is fascinated but the bird feeder is too tall.
