Basking in September

This is one of the local cats, enjoying the sunshine. Shortly afterwards I joined him/her and remained in the garden for most of the afternoon, with my book and Kindle (yes, both!), and an English Kumon worksheet. I don't know if it was the combination of the sunshine and paper, but it smelt of exam papers, which weirdly was quite nice! Not as nice as the smell of book though, which definitely is more reminiscent of holidays and swimming pools!

Tried to move directly into the sun at one point, having been sat in quite a shady area of the garden, had to move back, it was just too hot!
