Baxter's Place

Just down from the Playhouse Theatre are these boarded up buildings.

From what I've been able to find out with a quick Google search, it was bought for £6 million back in 2007 by the UNITE property group, with the intention of turning it into student accommodation.

It doesn't look like much has happened with it since - although I'm sure some Edinburgh blippers will know why!

No doubt Travelodge will have their eye on this place too!
