Woman in Blue at The Witchery
Not the picture I went out for but shot in passing.
A lovely day weather wise. After dinner watched the castle from the kitchen window. It seems to float, lit up in a warm glow at night above the street lights below. Ah, what about a shot from the courtyard all lit up? Nice walk up with the tripod and could get a nice picture.
Off I set.
"Can't go in.", said the security guard as he blocked my way from the view of large numbers of people up in front of the castle.
"Them's da rules. Wait a mo", as he queried a taxi arriving and waved in as as he was informed, "picking someone up".
"Who canI ask for permission?"
"Can't get permission. No permission from nobody."
A few taxi arrivals later and quite a few more "Them's da rules" he says he can onlt let people into the esplanade from 9 to 6.30. "Come back at 9".
"Not much of a night shot eh?", but he must have missed my comment.
"Them's da rules."
Shook his hand and thanked him for his troubles.
Maybe I should wait until it's dark by 6pm.
Night's are fair drawing in.
