Apple vs Android

I am amazed by the prejudice in this world, not towards males or females, nor to ethnic minorities or majorities, not to those who have or those that don't. Indeed I am used to that human disease; the inability to see the good in others regardless of their differences to you.

No, that's normal. The amazement comes from the prejudice towards <insert most hated tech company here>. Often that is Apple these days. It used to be Microsoft, and before that IBM. Increasingly it is Google.

Commentators have love affairs with their pet company, and promote their favourite toys, while decrying the competition. Then they cry when it turns out these same companies try to make money. I mean, how dare they take advantage of a free market to make money?

If you like something, buy it. If you don't, save your money. But please stop telling me how evil one empire is compared to another. I just want to be happy, and choosing how to waste^H^H^H^H^Hspend my own money is part of that.

In this week's battle between Apple and Android, I suspect sanity will be the biggest loser.
