Second birthday
Dad came through for a birthday celebration day. I went down to Sunderland to meet him off of the train then we went for a breakfast at the lampoon worm. From there we walked over the river to monkwearmouth station now a railway museum and had a look round there lots has changed since dad used to take us there after visiting the crowtree leisure centre (there swimming pool was always better than ours at Hartlepool) as we were about to leave the gardener collared us and offered a guided tour of the new part that's not open yet. I enjoyed every minute of it. The gardener (far left was so enthusiastic about the place to the extent that when money dried up he went out and spent his own money on getting plants for the garden. From there we got on the metro and got off at haymarket ;-) to tryout the new weatherspoons the five swans here we where stumped as to what to drink being such strangers to alcohol ;-) so we tried some crabbies ginger ale and it was fantastic sitting in the sun with this ice cold beverage in a word delightful. After that I took my dad to see the statue at the civic centre that gave it's name to the pub. After that we went to the Hancock (first the pub then the museum. Then a couple more pubs then home with a takeaway. We the piped in to my local (hadn't tried it yet incase it was too rough but it was really nice friendly staff cheap enough beer and a pool table couldn't ask for more grate day all round.
