Northern Exposure

Nothing yet!

According to the books duck eggs can hatch 28 days of setting (that's when either the duck sits on them or you heat them up in the incubator).

Our duck eggs obviously don't read the right books. A couple of shuffles from two or three of the eggs and most of the 5 that are due to hatch are showing pipping marks (dark shadows where the duckling is starting to knock it's way out) but apart from that, not a lot of hatching action.

It can take 3 or 4 days from first signs of hatching for the ducklings to be free of the egg shell and it's the most dangerous time for the wee souls.

The tension's just too much to take!
