Blowing

Today was my MIL's partner's birthday party.
The kids had a ball.
There was mud, balloons, bubbles, lego and cake. What more could a child want! The weather was perfect, the boys got along great with the other children and Ben even did a bit of dancing. They got so muddy they had to have a quick shower mid party and a change of clothes. I had spares for Ben but Alex had to borrow one of his Nana's shirts.
I think this photo captures the essence of the experience for the boys. They are sweaty, muddy and slippery with sunscreen. Alex is in his borrowed shirt, Ben is hanging on to that balloon and they are both getting covered in bubble mixture. Alex can blow, Ben can't.
The funny bit was when we went to leave and found one of the other boys had been to the toilet in Alex's shoes. Probably shouldn't have been funny but they were washable (crocs) and we could see the humour in it :)
