Wonderful day

Temperatures of 24 to 29C on the last day of September - in England are pretty much unheard of. But we don't mind, in fact a few more days of this has come at the perfect time - the weekend.

After school this afternoon we went down to the beach so Emma could have a paddle. Lots of interesting things going on down there including lots of canoeists, cyclists galore on the sea wall and of course dogs of all shapes and sizes, mainly saying hello to each other.

This is a yacht, which I think is called 'Ishmael', probably on it's way to the marina at Shotley, caught in the setting sun against a line of wind turbines which are about 5km out to sea. I realise I should have left it a few seconds for the boat to clear the turbine behind it, so not perfect, but some lovely colours.
