Path from the beach

Took this as I left the beach after my second swim in as many days: wonderful! I love this little path, lined with bushes that offer something attractive at any time of year, from celandines to blackberries; from convolvulus to hydrangeas. The low sunlight at five '0 clock was just lovely - and the only giveaway that the year is moving on, even though it's so warm.

It's August in September
and I'm swimming in the sea;
I am part of the ocean
and the ocean's part of me.
Tomorrow it's October,
and it shouldn't be this hot,
but it's feeling just like summer
and I'm liking it a lot.
