Orchard
Today is the last day of September, now on to October....a month of mums, pumpkins, hay rides, apples and Halloween!
Something I really enjoy about living where I do, is all of the farms and orchards. There are two apple orchards very close to my house, making visits there happens quite often!
I decided to take a little spin over to one of the apple orchards today while Jack was at school so that I could take some photos. I did take a few, but I ended up buying some cider and fudge, and even got an old wooden apple crate that I will be able to use for my newborn photography!
I also stopped at another antique shop, and found a great OLD wooden bucket, maybe a well bucket? It has a little top on it that had a handpainted scene of a little boy pulling a sled through a pine forest. Soooo cute!! I think I'll be able to use this for photography too!!
I'm heading out with my friend tonight for our monthy/bi-monthly girls night. It's always nice having a couple of hours of girl talk over dinner and drinks!
on a funny note....I helped Jack with his homework last night. It was a worksheet that had three different cartoon drawings. The pictures were out of order, and it was Jacks job to number them in the sequence in which they occured. I helped him decide the order, then sent it with him today to school. When Jack got home, the paper was returned with corrections. Wow, if I can't help on Kindergarten homework, what will I do in a few years?? :) In my defense, technically, the order I put them in could have been right too....I guess it was all in how you looked at it!!
