Alien Cocoon

Not an inspiring day today, tried, unsuccesfully, to secure my unsecure wireless network, put up a curtain pole, assembled a wardrobe, planned a sawhorse from salvaged timber from the old workbench in what was the new study....
One of the few days we have never seen the sun since we have been here, and I am going down with a cold, the last in the extended family to do so.
We found this cocoon (?) in the garden on the tip of what looks like a vibernum bush (what you park your 4x4 into Bri ). It's about 5cms in length, and we have no idea if and what will come of it. Perhaps a Blip sometime in the spring ?
