Stairway to heaven?

No the pathway to the roof. Work is due to start in the next few days, reroofing and repairing the chimney stacks. May take up to 4 months. The coming of the scaffolding to the south aspect means that the kitchen is now a gloomy hole which requires lights on all the time. Reckon I may not see the benefit of the green giant going till next year. The upside is that there is virtually no light pollution into my bedroom at night. Next week the north aspect will be covered and the living room will be plunged into gloom. It's going to be a long, dark winter.

Off West to see C and L who are up from Southampton at Y and G's. Will be a good night of catching up.
