Yasha and the Papal medal

Yasha is the manager of the Kishmish tea "club" in the old city of Baku. He is probably the only person to have been presented with "thank you" gifts for service by both President Brezhnev and Pope John Paul II.

He brought his medal from the Pope specially for me to photograph.
