Archie's Adventure

We went with Archie and Dad for a walk at Eriswell. According to the 'Pub Walks' book we last did this walk over ten years ago. I couldn't remember it at all. The brecklands of Suffolk were glorious in the sunshine.

It was incredibly hot and we stopped for a bit in the shade by a man made fishing pond. Archie was quite fancying a drink of water, as you can see.

We then found an 'adventurous' route home. (i.e. strayed from the path) Always a mistake to stray from the path as we found a farm that had a gallows and a set of stocks. Eeek! We marched on, a little more quickly.

It was tough getting Archie home as he kept wanting to have wee lie-downs in
the shade. He's built for speed, not for distance.

We made it home and are now resting in the cool of indoors.
