Silver Anniversary Celebration

A bright, sunny and warm morning in Thirsk. We called into 'the shop' as this morning was a day to mark 25 years of Oxfam being in Thirsk. We were happy to take up the invitation clearly seen outside! The cubs had a stall on the pavement selling cakes and were giving their proceeds to the latest shop project, helping to support communities in needy areas of the world.
Apparently this wonderful weather is set to last till Tuesday so I want to make the most of it. So much for swapping over the Summer to Winter wardrobe! I have had to dig out clothes suitable for the sweltering temperatures. More pansies planted up this afternoon and my outdoor pots are now almost filled with them.
I'm sure we will be plunged into cold conditions very soon and it is going to be a bit of a shock. Oh well, make hay etc.
