If at first ...
Thank you so much for yesterday's comments. I have tried tonight to put a number of these in place. I shone a big light on her face, focused, then changed to manual. Put the light off and fired. I would have liked to have sharpened up the image but have no software to do so. Added to the wish list along with all the other things.
I do think the focus is better here, but found that whilst I was concentrating hard on getting that right I was forgetting about other things, like why I shot so many featuring one of the backlights in full view. Or why the model was looking like a dishevelled mess, or why my compostion had almost a third of her cut off. Good grief, I never imagined all those months ago that it could be this interesting - it's certainly a challenge.
Given the size of my wish list and the fact that I have only the equipment around the house you may like to know that at some point Dancing Shoes (the model) may post an image of what she was looking at - it's not pretty. Perhaps tomorrow I will put the off camera flash with no trigger release in my mouth and see if we can't lighten up her face a little! Now that will be interesting.
