You Know It's October When...

...it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

This was about a third of the Christmas display in Thornton's. I have no idea how long it's been there already but I know it's not the first Christmas product to hit the shops.

I can't stand the way all these companies keep urging us to buy more and buy earlier. The sad thing is I guess they wouldn't do it if people didn't go ahead and start buying this stuff already. At the risk of sounding like the Grinch, I'm going to be sick of Christmas before November's finished.

I like Christmas. But I like it at the end of December and I like it to have as little to do with shopping as possible.
