Robin Red Breast, taking a Red Berry............

Breakfast time in and around the Cotoneaster, and this little guy's making the most of this years bumper crop of berries.
All of our Cotoneasters and Mountain Ashes have huge amounts of berries this year.
Over the years we've been used to seeing the Blackbirds, Thrushes, Wood Pigeons and later in the year FieldFares and Redwings taking the berries, but this is the first time we've seen a Robin taking berries.

Today's top job :-

Around 3 months ago i introduced 4 Tench into our pond, bad move.........
during their time in the pond they've uprooted juat about all of the plants. So today's job is, try and catch the 4 Tench without stressing out all of the other fish in the pond, and then replant the baskets. Not too much to ask..........

So while i've got flippers, snorkel and mask on, wifey will be reading her book, while sipping a nice glass of white wine.........Funny how it's suddenly MY pond.....!!
