The Cake that was not a Lie

Amethyst's birthday tea went without a hitch, her friends were enjoying themselves and everyone was pleased with the result until she ate some of her cake.

Within a few minutes her eyes had swollen and she was having a slight difficulty in swallowing, so a quick rush to the hospital was in order. After a combination of waiting and being examined by various doctors and nurses (plus a worrying time that she might have to spend her first night away from us) not only was she given the all clear but the swelling had mostly gone.

So, what a great way to end your birthday... a trip to the A'n'E and a long night!
