Pubs Rock!

Here's a photo of the Royal Oak, one of the four pubs that sit on each corner of Griffin Park, Brentford's football ground. And yes that is Stan Bowles, former player and local resident you see on the left. He's a regular visitor to the pubs and the bookies.

Trivia: It was his wife that phoned the fire brigade when our main stand caught fire in the 1980s.

There are still a few pubs in Brentford that have bands on but during the rather magnificent pub rock era of the 1970s The Red Lion in Brentford was known throughout London as a top quality venue. I saw Dr Feelgood there. I would've taken a picture of it but it now resembles a MacDonald's Drive through - because it is!
