Rain

Rain, rain
go away
come again
some other day

It could be during a test
it could be during a losing football game
It could be when i'm sitting on my front porch
It could be when I'm late, something to blame

I like it when it leaves me alone
to work in peace in my room
but sometimes it's pitter-patter
comforts me, in most of the gloom

It allows for adventure
to create a new world
One time i pretended i had wings
and I watched as they slowly unfurled

I rose into the sky
and felt a cool breeze
I could go anywhere
travel through countries

Than why not have it all the time
why not tell the rain to stay
because inside my head there are ideas
and at times like these, I make them away

Rain, rain

i'll come back
i'll find a way
