Almost Dead Head

This coneflower is on the way out, but not without looking quite pretty in it's own unique way. I found this group of coneflowers and they were in various stages of flowering, but I really liked the spent ones. I finally decided this one that still had some color on it was the most interesting.

Hubby is watching Football and I must clean the kitchen. Will this excitement never end?
