Guardian cake.

Today Abi left Bournemouth and it made me very sad. I wish she could live here too this year.

But in a slightly hungover slumber Hannah and I caught a lift with her to Castlepoint to get ingredients for Chloe's birthday cake.

Now, Chloe really likes The Guardian - so obviously the logical (and easy?) thing to do is to make her a Guardian birthday cake. And so we did.

We laughed, we almost cried (through laughing) but the end result turned out pretty well I think. It also tasted much better than I thought it would considering the first layer looked like biscuit when we took it out the oven.
