Oh Deer!

(or...sheer insanity)

Today was a bit on the nasty side. I awakened at 5 am, but refused to rise up, as the temperature in our house seemed too chilly! Finally, at about 6, I got up (and woke up the Scotties!) and fed the boys and took them outside. By 6:30, I was sitting in the living room, Murphy snuggled by my side, enjoying a warm fire in the woodstove.

I enjoyed my "free time" until everyone got up and then it was back to "normal". Throughout the entire day, it rained and rained and rained some more. Not only was it chilly and rainy, but it was about as dismal as could be!

Daughter and Son cleaned the basement up some this afternoon and after a job well-done, how could I refuse to let her visit her friends in Middlesex? I drove her over, then went for a little ride. Afterward, I decided to go down to Vine Valley, on Canandaigua Lake.

As I drove alongside the fields, I could see many, many deer grazing on the freshly watered, lush green grass. There seemed to be "herds" of deer....everywhere!

As I passed by a group of three that weren't too far from the road, I was disappointed I didn't have the telephoto lens on, as it does far better in low light. Ah well.....throwing heed to conditions, I turned on the flash, knowing full well what would happen! hehehe....I kinda like the end result!
