The Brighest Thing Around

I woke this morning to torrential rain and thunder. Of course it would have been nice to have been greeted with bright blue skies and sunshine but there was something comforting about lying in a warm bed, with the window open, listening to the rainfall and birdsong.

I spent the morning reading my book - China Meiville's Kraken, not his best but engaging enough - listening to music on my mp3 player and attempting to meditate (aka closing your eyes and nodding off).

The rain eased off enough this afternoon for me to go for a walk. I was looking for a landscape shot to capture but everything was dominated by the blanket grey skies. So I snapped the brightest thing I could find instead.
