Rutherglen

My sister is visiting just now from the south, and today we both went on a nostalgic walk around Rutherglen, the town where we lived as children. This photograph is of the library, post office and mercat cross on the main street. This was the first library we were ever members of, and our memories of the mercat cross were of running up one side and down the other when we were small......we were very lucky, we had a lovely childhood.
