Dry Dock.
Saw this neat bit of kit in operation, its driven to
the edge of the dock and onto two channels which
overhang the water. The big straps are lowered
into the water, the boat then is brought forward
over the straps. When all in position, it is lifted up
out of the water and then the whole thing moves
over the dock and it then deposits the boat onto wooden
blocks in its winter parking place.
I of course asked the silly question, what stops it toppling
over when you take the crane away. Answer, its propped
on both sides with the wood, you can see on the pallett to
the left.
What a glorious day, hope that you all, have had much
of the same.
