In Perspective
A new angle from our local shopping centre. In the background is one side of the Gemini building with the white bike/walking bridge in front, then a few other bits that I've Blipped before. But when I stopped just here, I saw the receding roof line I hoped it would make a Blip. Well it's here but I'm not sure about the two tone finish, it's just the colour was very washed out so I got rid of it.
Today's News:
The comments I made last night have been echoing around work and the TV chanels all day today. Some facts keep cropping up that are a tad worrying. Bare in mind I'm all for the welfare state and I was aware Denmark is a little welfare minded but even so these figures are scary:
Total Population:5,529,888 (July 2011 est.)
0-14 years: 17.6% (male 500,265/female 474,829)
15-64 years: 65.3% (male 1,811,198/female 1,798,507)
65 years and over: 17.1% (male 417,957/female 527,132) (2011 est.)
State dependent adults: 2,049,000
Puplic servants: 800,000 (aprox')
Private sector : 800,000 (aprox')*
That's why we have the highest tax rate in world (or at least in the top three in most polls)
Edit
* I think I will have to tripple check this figure - would make more sense if it was 1.8 mil but that would mean that everyone over 65 is state dependent and I know that's not right either.
