Austin Powers, Baby!

No idea if Mike Myers ever drove one of these, but an Austin engine certainly powers this baby. The Austin Seven was nicknamed the Austin Baby, although some versions were known as 'Chummy' and some as 'Ruby'. The Seven was built between 1922 and 1939. Nearly 300,000 were produced - I can still remember seeing lots of these on the road into the 60s.

There are some really amazing facts about this car:
It was the first car that BMW ever made (called the BMW Dixi). After Austin had stopped making them, Lotus started it's business by converting pre-war models into their Lotus Mark 1. They were also made in France as the original Rosengarts and in the US as American Austins. There though, they didn't catch on, and the company folded in 1934. Even Nissan in Japan copied the Seven.

This one I noticed had had it's wing-mounted headlamps upgraded to LED bulbs!
