Tag der Deutschen Einheit

Today is the holiday to celebrate German reunification and I think nothing says that better than cycling a BMX bike off a pier into Schierstein Hafen.

There were a pair of these blokes and they seemed quite up for it. A big run up and down the gangplank, onto the floating pier, up the ramp and a bit of a somersault into the water. It looked quite fun.

It looked a bit nuts when they invited friends to park a boat under the ramp. But I am happy to report that they jumped over the boat with nary a care in the world.

Today was a Monday off. I think Monday's off are possibly my favourite days off ever. And for the third day in a row I was out wearing a short sleeved shirt, sunglasses and enjoying sunshine.
