induction week, day one

well, i failed to capture any scenic pictures today. my whole day was basically taken over by induction at my department. induction really sounds more formal than it is since you pretty much just sit in a classroom and listen to professors talk about what's to come in the next 8 weeks. so i leave you with an image of my handbook sitting on my windowsill.
