Goldfinch in the wind and rain

Went for a walk around the spit today, tide right in, blowing a gale, raining hard, no one on the beach but my daughter and me - love it like that, very primal!

Found these little birds feeding on dandelion seeds - all the sea birds were hunkered down somewhere else, didn't see any close in apart from a gannet riding the wind.

Took lots of shots, all of them blurred and not in a good way, and this is the best of a bad lot. Will have to go back on a day better for photography.
