Cape Gooseberry
Physalis Peruviana for those who still speak fluent Latin. As the name implies these things were originally grown in South America. This one along with some brothers and sisters grew in the window of our conservatory. The most common place to see them is as an adornment on your sweet course in swanky restaurants, split open to reveal the fruit inside.
