Billy Buoy
The falling autumn leaves are beginning to cover the pond surface.
Many years ago, when our sons were young lads, they found a washed up fishing buoy in a bay at Ardalanish, Isle of Mull, when we were on a sailing holiday. They brought Billy Buoy back to the pond (much of which they had excavated) at our previous home in Peterculter. John reminded me recently that we had been admonished for not bringing Billy Buoy to Penicuik when we moved here and that the current buoy was a replacement - I can't remember where it came from. It certainly brings more colour and shape to the pond and is a pleasure to have there.
