Ancient and Prehistoric

This huge lizard, straight out of the dinosaur age was watching me watching him, whilst warming himself on a broken column at the ruins of the Early Christian Basilica near where Daizy and I walk. As I went to take his picture, he sat up and stared, possibly put out by our presence...I expect that he and his ancestors have held this territory for centuries!

Today there were plenty of choices to blip, but this was one that I knew wasn't likely to repeatable.
