The Hype Switch

Is it just me, or is anyone else oddly pleased that Apple never announced an iPhone 5 today? (I mean, are people really that cut up about a form factor and a name?) And so all the punters and fanatics are disappointed.

I would like to think it will help diminish the hype bandwagon in advance of the next event, but I am not optimistic. People will have more patience in the future? Ha!

Sometimes, despite being a sucker for the technology myself, it would be lovely to switch off the machine that promotes and critiques it. Someone, please, just report the facts - *after* you know them!

Goddamn! The switch appears to be broken. Anyone seen my hammer?
