We like sheep - we need sheep. How else would we get elected?

But kept at a distance. Behind an electric fence, far enough away that they won't see that our smiles are painted on.

So that they won't catch our true scent.

Notice too, along the fence-line, the two sprigs of gorse (a noxious weed in New Zealand) that reasserted themselves from the long gone boundary hedge. Not looking too healthy though.

But politicians are made of sterner stuff.
