"Nah nah mate, it's only a nick, innit!"
Just in case anyone thought this was some kind of crazy-pygmy-macho-display of war wounds, it was in fact just one of the (altogether too few) sculptures on display from the Australian sculptor Ron Mueck.
Despite being dog-tired from having tried (and failed) to stay up to watch the Ireland v Italy game, there was no staying in bed w/the demands of the Puglys and Sandra demanding that I get out of the scratcher and cleaned up ready for the exhibition.
We then headed into the Ildefenso Musuem right in the historic centre of Mexico City to meet up w/a load of her pals to check this out and to have breakfast/lunch overlooking the Zocalo (Main Square) afterwards.
Both were very enjoyable, ended up being dragged into a photo w/a load of folk dancers, who had come up for a bite to eat after some hectic-ritualistic dancing round the gigantic flag pole that sits in the centre of the square.
Back home to the pups and their assorted mess, though it is nigh on impossible to get mad w/them as they are just too effective at diffusing any anger w/their big, mournful eyes.
Managed to download the Irish game and thoroughly enjoyed our deserved victory over the Italians. Roll on midnight (a far more doable time) on Friday for the game against the Welsh.
