Back to school...

Back in to the office today after my sick day yesterday. I'm much better than I was at the weekend...but energy levels are low and I'm left with a hacking cough. Walked to the station this morning...I could have cycled it's not the cycle that put me off the bike it's the lugging it up stairs and over platforms, the thought makes me tired just now:-(

Another, reactionary day in the office being diverted in six different directions at once...one day I'm going to learn to stop doing that and focus on MY agenda.

Caught an earlier train home for part 2 of the maths workshops at school. The Rooster accompanied me...it was all about active learning and curriculum for excellence. We had to take a cereal box and a newspaper with us. With the cereal box we had to make a half size version of it and with the paper cut out a square that weighed 1g. It was interesting and fun and there were bits of it that got the Rooster interested...I couldn't say he stuck with the programme the full time but he was on a par with his contemporaries. Most of the work was left to the adults!

He wasn't too amused when the heidie called him his brother's name when she asked him to help with more chairs, he was happy to help though and then he helped put them away at the end of the evening:-) It was a nice wee just Rooster and me outing.

Home for my dinner and then bed...what an exciting life...The Girl who Played with Fire kept me awake far too late though...nearly finished it and found it hard to put it down last night.
