Return of the Phoenix
Glenfiddich Snow Phoenix whisky, risen from the warehouses damaged by the snow last winter. A mix of casks of various ages made into a limited edition bottling. Fortunately limited as far as the distillery was concerned.
Happily on my return to Scotland there is no snow, though it is a good deal cooler than Lake Garda. Most evenings over the past week I would be sitting outside a bar watching the arrival of dusk and thinking about an aperitivo before dinner.
Spritz Aperol seemed to be the tipple of choice for the tourists at Lake Garda. I should really have taken a photograph of one. My tipple of choice for the week turned out to be Prosecco.
