I heard someone on his mobile phone saying "It's like the London Eye, but smaller"

Our beachfront fixture was a bit of a surprise to me and just about everyone else walking past. No idea how long it's staying for! UPDATE: Apparently it's permanent.

As I had my tripod I played with a bit of HDR. Here's a few more from this evening. No doubt more to follow.
