Any ideas?

This is a Butternut Squash. The only one on a 'Triffid' size plant. I'm not sure what to do with it.
Will it keep growing (its about 12" x 7")
Is it ready?

Is it really a Butternut Squash? It looks different to the ones we usually buy.
