I got a call from my mum today. She was lost in Southampton somewhere trying to catch the megabus. Apparently the website makes it look like it leaves from the train station but that's something else, a mega train. So she had a map and was walking to the middle of nowhere where the bus leaves.

I nobly rushed over*I looked at her map. I discarded the map on the grounds of both ridiculousness of route and lies of distance. No wonder she got lost. I bought her a cup of coffee and ordered her a taxi. Then I basked in the warm glow of helpfulness, since I am such a hopeless person people rarely come to me in times of crisis. Especially if they are lost.Though I didn't even really do anything since the guy at the box office ordered the taxi. Though I did buy coffee and thats helpful in times of stress right?

Then when I popped into the newagent for a copy of yoga journal the lady there said I was such a calm mother, was it the yoga? Which made me laugh because I was not very calm today. And my being a mother is still amusing to me too.


*Within the hour. I was walking.
