Mandy's Snaps

Farewell Steve

When I first went into publishing in 1989, there was a growing dispute between 'old school' and 'new school' ways of working. The young generation were keen to embrace new technology, while others struggled to move on from traditional methods used for design and print.

By the early 90's, and into my second job, Macs had moved in for good. They were forward thinking even then, although now we would look at those machines and laugh at their capabilities.

They got better and faster; their style became more streamlined; their desirability increased. Then came the iPod in it's various guises, and more recently, the highly marketable iPhone. Each one a small piece of design and technological genius.

The World has lost an icon today, but what he leaves behind is immeasurable.

Apologies to any die-hard PC fanatics. :-)
