Holly Tree
Today we had sunshine after ten days of mist and rain! I think my camera was as dazzled as I was by the light, almost all today's photos were over exposed. Anyway I chose this very old Holly tree, laden with berries, she is a real beauty. Bantry Bay in the background is quite rough, with these high winds. In the late winter and springtime Doriane and I planted around nine hundred trees, quite an achievement as the terrain in very rocky. Today we were checking on their progress and clearing away grass and brambles from around them. We have a few casualties but most are growing away fine. Doriane returns to France next week, we will miss her but we have named the woodland in honour of all her work,' The Forest of Doriane'.
