China Athletics Open at the 'Bird Nest' Stadium in the 'Jing.

Great evening of exciting high-jump, hurdles and 1500m action, amongst other events. Mostly Chinese competitors but the odd Japanese and Australian Gold-medalist too, which gave the the 'Victory Ceremonies' slightly more variety...
Awesome stadium, although I have reservations about it working well in terms of facilities, at full capacity when the Olympics kick off.
The event guide was entertaining too. I haven't seen much Chinglish since I've been here, but you'd thought they'd have employed a native English speaker to proof read their leaflet... (all sic)

"Please give the athletes warm applauses when their competitons and when the fail to clear the bar"

and in the 'Knowledge about Athletics' section It says:

"track events are measured by time while field events are measured by farness or highness."

Quality night out, and this is what it looks like at night-time!
